ASD Reference Group overlooks the input of robust arrangements in order to ensure the delivery of the Scottish Strategy for Autism recommendations. The ASD Reference Group leads in the monitoring and tracking of improvements in service provision for people with autism and their families. The ASD Reference Group is chaired by the Scottish Government, supported by COSLA and includes representatives of key stakeholders, including those from the statutory, voluntary and private sectors, the new scrutiny body Social Care and Social Work in Scotland, as well as people with ASD. The ASD Reference Group reports annually on progress and reviews the Scottish Strategy for Autism.
The ASD Reference Group developed an action plan for its work to ensure that progress is continually monitored. The Group meets six times a year and publishes its minutes, papers and reports on the Scottish Government website as well as the Scottish Strategy for Autism website.
